Fun On The Farm 2024

This educational program series provides an opportunity for children and adults in the community to learn more about life on the farm and conservation practices through hands-on learning experiences and a tour. Participants will visit three different farms that we have in Clarion County. Each program will begin with an interactive overview on the type of farm we are at and will end with a tour of the farm given by the farmer(s) and an item from the farm to take home! Carpooling is encouraged. This program is brought to you by the Clarion Conservation District, Penn State Extension 4-H Educator, and local farmers.
Ages: Hands-on activities directed towards children ages 5 & up for the first hour (though adults may learn something new too!). All ages welcome for the tour during the second hour.
Fee:
To attend the children’s program + tour:
Children (Ages 5-18) : $10 / person / farm

What to Bring: Wear clothes you are not afraid to get dirty, rain boots or old sneakers, water bottle, **jackets and umbrellas depending on the weather**

-Make observations of native plants through nature journaling.
-Go on a tree scavenger hunt and see where TWIGS plants are grown!
