SUMMARY:Come Float with Us - AVC River Sojourn 2024
DESCRIPTION:Meet at 9:30 am at the SaltBox Visitor Center at 4514 Route 322 in Franklin\, at the trailhead of the Allegheny River Trail on the eastern end of the 8th Street Bridge.\n\nBring your own boat and floatation equipment. The sojourn will begin by 10 am and will take about 3-1/2 – 4 hours. We will float to Fisherman’s Cove\, where we will be met by OARS (Outdoor Allegheny River Services)\, who will shuttle us back to the parking lot.\n\nPart Two of the Event: Once we’ve come back from the river\, we will gather at TrAils to Ales II at 422 12th Street\, for food\, beverage and conversation. We will provide a variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages. A specialist from the Venango Conservation District will give a short presentation about the environmental benefit of the Allegheny River.\n\nRegistration is required by July 26\, 2024. $40 will cover both the shuttle service and the food at Trails to Ales II.
